Little Lisette 2064 is all done! Instead of a long sleeve shirt, I just left off sleeves completely and made bindings for the edges to match the neckline.
Chandler decided she wanted the bubble skirt, so bubble skirt it is!
She was so excited to put it on, then I messed up and tucked in her shirt.
Even after we untucked it, the damage was done and the tears were flowing!
4, going on 17!?
This was the best face I got in 10 minutes of pictures.
After all that, we decided to break in the new mixer.
Spirits were soaring!
First we made Smitten Kitchen's Zucchini Bread
I didn't have 2 loaf pans, so we ended up with 1 loaf and some muffins.
Then we made some "cookies" they are cookie-enough for the kids, but they don't have any sugar, some honey, mostly oats and some dried fruit - therefore they can have them pretty much anytime and i'm ok with that.
- 1/2c veggie oil
- 3/4c honey
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup cream, cow milk, or nut milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour, any combination of AP and/or whole wheat (I used 1/2 of each)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 5 cups oats
- 2 cups raisins/nuts/cranberries
Put oil, honey, eggs, cream, & vanilla in mixer until combined.
In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, & cinnamon.
Add dry ingredients to wet, mix well, then add oats & fruit/nuts.
Put dough in fridge for 10min or so while you preheat the oven to 350*F.
Make small balls (a tbls size measuring spoon works great) and flatten them a little because they don't spread.
Bake for 14-17 minutes depending on your oven.
Makes 50-60 small cookies.
That outfit is too cute for words! I would be so happy for a top like that but think the bubble skirt wouldn't do my hips any favours!! It's gorgeous. Nothing like a spot of baking to wipe away the tears!!
